Hey! I'm Emilie Anna, the artist behind all of these lovely creations you see. If you’re new here, welcome! I am SO HAPPY you found your way into my little corner of the internet.

Growing up, I've always been the artistic type. Math and numbers were never my speed, but hand me a crayon and some paper and I could go at it for hours. Art quickly became my escape, my safe place, and something I dreamed I would be able to do for a living someday. 

My artistic journey truly took shape at the age of 11 years old when I began taking art classes. I fell in love with the ability to put my time and effort into creating something that could express what I’d been feeling, but I still felt a lack of originality and creativity. I eventually stopped with creating altogether. I lost my passion and found myself drowning in a sea of anxiety and deep sadness.

After a long time of controlling things on my own (which did not work out too well), I found my way back to the Lord. My joy and sense of purpose slowly began to make its way back in. Then, fast forward to February 2024, my family and I went through a heartbreaking loss when my dad unexpectedly passed away. The grief hit me harder than I ever could have imagined.

But somewhere in that darkness, God met me. Gently, He nudged me to pick up a paintbrush again. Not in a dramatic, lightning-bolt kind of way…it felt more like a quiet invitation to show up broken and to let Him be in it with me.

So I did. And painting became my lifeline. It helped me process, breathe, grieve, hope.

Since then, I’ve built Emilie Anna Originals, worked on commission pieces, and graduated Bonnie Christine’s Surface Design Immersion Course which has certified me in Surface Pattern Design (with top notch skills in Illustrator).

To some people, art is just a pretty thing to hang on a wall, and hey, no shame in wanting something that matches your couch. But to me, creating is sacred. It’s where my heart meets the heart of my Creator. It’s how I worship, how I heal, and how I speak when words fall short.

If my art makes you feel something — joy, curiosity, peace, understanding — then I have nobody to thank but Jesus. I pray that whatever stirs in you leads you closer to the thing He's calling you to create, chase, or become.
